Beverly Hills Cop 2 (1987)
Directed by: Tony Scott
Screenplay by: lots of folks got writing credits; go check IMDB
Starring: Eddie Murphy (Axel Foley), Judge Reinhold (Billy Rosewood), John Ashton (Taggart) and many others, including Glenn Withrow.
Rated: R (USA), 18A (Ontario/Canada?) - language, violence
First, Glenn doesn't have a huge role, he's one of the bad guys' crew. (I actually wondered if stuff had been left out with the bad guys ... I just got the feeling there should have been more with them). Anyhow, for most of his on-screen appearances Glenn (and all the other bad guy characters) are wearing, yep, masks. That made my screencapping hunt just that much more interesting. He appears before the City Deposit heist and during the shootout.
I hadn't seen Beverly Hills Cop 2 before - it wasn't bad, not as funny as the first, but there were some moments when I seriously lost it laughing - after the heist at the City Deposit, Axel tells Billy to "get us some wheels" - the bad guys fly by in their armoured car, and what is Billy driving to catch them? A cement mixer. "Well this is sporty!" I actually wish the chase scene had been longer a la the chase scene in The Rock. I guess I'm not above site gags. It's a pretty short chase scene actually ... probably because of the gratuitousness of Axel and friends ending up at the Playboy mansion. (Hugh Hefner and I share the same birthday. I don't know if that makes me feel special or dirty.)
Lots of recognizable faces in this flick aside from Eddie Murphy, Judge Reinhold and John Ashton. Keep your eyes peeled for Paul Guilfoyle (Brass on CSI) as Thermopolis (complete with badly dyed blond hair), Dean Stockwell, Brigitte Neilson (before she got the Flava), Ronny Cox and Paul Reiser.Purchase Information

Before the City Deposit heist

And again....

And again - he's in the middle in case you couldn't tell.

Firing a lovely M16. I'll go on record: It's not an M16A2.
Triangle handguard. Can't say whether it's an M16, AR-15/XM16, XM16E1 or M16A1
since I can't see if the flash suppressor is a three-prong or bird cage. I can't
tell if it has forward assist either. It's definitely pre-A2. ('Though it may
not seem like it, I swear I'm Canadian lol.)

'80s sunglasses make me happy.
